When you came to Germany for the first time, here in Essen
it was a big family celebration. That you
were a great family person and also very helpful.
We were on vacation and flew to Long Island to see you. You showed us many sights
e.g. Niagara Falls.
We all had a lot of fun together.
Now you have unfortunately left us, very sad.
But you will always be fondly remembered.

As Corinne's father in law I had the pleasure to get to know Amedeo (Amo) during times of family gatherings. I liked Amo, I enjoyed his stories about tha way he did things. Like me he was old school but the results of his efforts were always outstanding. I remember the extensive research he did to assure he was buying the best possible refrigerator! I loved that! The pit in his garage so he could properly service his Cadillac. I was so impressed baught the same exact car from his actual sales guy! He kept his property, inside and out immaculately, ask anyone. They don't make 'em like this any more. Amo, I'm going to miss you.

As a family friend to Corinne, Amo was always involved with his daughters' upbringing. He was a great role model for strong family values. He took great pride in his home and had the most beautiful lawn on the block.

I visited the Mantones for the first time in the USA when I was seventeen.
My uncle “Amo” drove us all together to Washington D.C., to the beaches and to many other interesting places - always with a lot of fun and full of love.
And when he visited us together with Aunt “Trauti” in Germany, we always called him the “Dancing Uncle” because he loved to party and dance.
We always had so much fun with him.
On his last visit to us, he and “Trauti” took great care of my sick mother.
Thank you for all the wonderful moments with you!
I will always remember my uncle “Amo” from America.

We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Amo.
It was always a pleasure visiting you and your family in Long Island.
In addition we enjoyed memorable vacation trips together, for example the French Riviera, Italy, the East Coast (USA) and many more.
We are very grateful to have met you.
