It’s funny the specific things you remember. First of all, Larry, Jeanne, Adam, Kaylin and Nate, please accept my deepest condolences. No emotions I can experience or words I can express can come close to what you are feeling. But I wanted to share a memory out of the thousands I have of Amy, along with just a few pics in case they are ones you haven’t seen. Just for background, I was Amy’s boyfriend for four years starting from when she was 19, we loved each other very much and we shared our dreams of the future with each other (I’m the one standing with her when she is wearing the black jacket). I think Larry, Adam and Jeanne might vaguely remember me. The relationship was ultimately not meant to be, but Amy and I maintained a friendship for a few years after that since we had the same group of friends and above all we were friends with each other. We were no longer a couple and she met Larry at Dreyfus and they started dating. At one point not long after that dating started I asked her how it was going. As always I had to “drag it out of her”, as Amy was not one to freely express her emotions verbally, she did it much better in writing. I’ll never forget what she said once I got it out of her. “This is IT!!!” Amy knew after a very short time with Larry that she had found the person she was truly destined to be with. She was SO SURE, it was shocking to me. But I was incredibly happy that she had found Larry and it’s very obvious that the marriage and family that that resulted was everything Amy ever dreamed of. We barely spoke over the last 25+ years, but I knew her better than anyone during that time in our lives, and I wanted to absolutely assure you that you all made the dreams she had in her youth come true. I know she will rest in peace.
