My codolences to all of Louie's family.
I'm John Chimento a childhood friend of Louie and his family. We played base ball in the PS.8 play ground on Hicks St. Also were members of the Boy Scouts. Our parents were life long friends with his parents Auriela and Mario. Nothing but fond memeories with Louie. AKA -- Moose! Where he got that nick name is anyones guess! Louie was born on Dec.13th and I on the 18th 1936. My prayers are with all of you. Stay well & stay strong Johnny Chimento

Dear Lou Jr. and Family, Tom and I are thinking of you at this very sad time. We know that your Dad had the most giving heart and fun loving , understanding nature, how else could he have been friends with Tom’s Dad all of those years, through thick and thin! The stories we have all heard, the trips they took, the crazy dinners they shared all added up to an amazing career on Wall Street with a true cast of characters! But as we all know, your Dad was devoted to his family and enjoyed all of those wonderful moments he shared with all of you, especially your Mom. He will always be part of “ Old Wall Street,” a special group that were always gentlemen, knew how to wear a suit and mentored the young men and women that came to work for them. They were truly unique, liked to have a good time, never missed a day of work and stayed true to their families, friends and sports teams! We can hear that whole crew from the Super Bowl trips cracking jokes and welcoming your Dad with open arms ! He will always be a part of so many memories and stories , his spirit will live on in all of us. With much love, Pam and Tom Jones

I am deeply saddened by the news of Lou’s passing and I am heartbroken for Roseann and all the family. This is a hard loss and I pray they find moments of comfort and peace in their time of grief. I know the Mustacchio family through my childhood friendship with my dear friend, Marianne. I have fond memories of Lou as whenever I came by the V.S. house or saw him in later years on our daily LIRR commute, he always had a kind word for me and expressed interest in me and my family. Besides both working on Wall St., Lou and I also shared a love (and hate at times) of the NY Mets. Like Lou, my father was a Brooklyn Dodger fan and from there became a Met’s fan, so the family baseball tradition continued with me and my children. As many know, Lou was generous with charities as well as with his family and friends. I recall fondly his generosity to my family when it came to Met’s tickets and especially miss those earlier, carefree, summer days with Marianne and friends at Shea in Lou’s company’s box seats.
Lastly, I recall whenever Lou spoke of Roseann and their children, which was often, he beamed with love and pride. And the same was true of how Lou spoke of his grandkids when they came into his life. I always admired this of Lou, and I hoped my father spoke of me so lovingly to others when I was not present.
Farewell dear Lou, you will be missed by many. I pray you receive God’s grace and are at eternal peace in heaven, where every season the NY Mets win the World Series. ;)
My deepest condolences, Jeanne Mauro
