Mrs. Brando a.k.a. Dottie, was my best friend Anne’s mom and my 2nd mom. Of course, I loved my “stay at home” mom with all my heart and she did everything for my 6 brother and sisters and me. On the other hand, besides having 7 kids, Dottie went to business and got dressed up every day with seamed stockings and high heels and wore make-up. She was way ahead of her time in my book and a role model for me. (of course, she could not have done it without a husband like Tom.) I could talk to her about anything and she was always there to listen and give sound advice. She made me feel like I was one of her daughters, such and honor. Her sense of humor, smile and beauty made here so approachable. Her faith was unwavering and she loved the Blessed Mother. She walked with Jesus every day and brought many to Him, I am sure. She welcomed my husband, Paul into her flock and was there for me over the years. I was often on her prayer list as Anne filled her in on my life’s joys and sorrows. She will be missed and always have a place of honor and love in my heart. May she rest God’s eternal embrace in paradise until we meet again. Patty Mauro
