Ronald J. Krause, age 80, of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023. He was born in Queens, New York to the late Adam and Jean Krause.

Ronnie, as he was called, was the youngest of five children and is predeceased by his siblings and their spouses: Thomas (Regina), George, Judith Borak (Vincent), Adam (Barbara). He is survived by his eleven nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Ann Krause.

Ronnie served in the U.S. Army. He was stationed overseas in Korea from 1966 to 1970. After serving his country, he was an NYPD officer for a brief period of time before becoming a firefighter with the FDNY.

Ronnie was a caring man and a devout Catholic. His faith was very important, and he gave much to the church. While he valued his privacy and independence, Ronnie often tried new things and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and the beach. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity and kindness.
