Kathy was my best friend for 40 years. We were recently talking about the old days when my husband, Ed and I took both Douglas and Allison out for various fun kid activities. Kathy and Doug shared both Douglas and Allison for some fun days with us, since we didn’t have children of our own. There are countless wonderful memories I have with Kathy from helping plan my wedding, to having my bridal shower at her home, and to her being my Matron of Honor. Doug was also included as a Groomsman attendant and Douglas our adorable Ring bearer. For many many years we celebrated countless holidays, birthdays, and just fun days with Kathy and her family at her home. I could go on and on, but I’m truly happy that I have such wonderful memories of Kathy and her family that I can remember with a smile. She was truly one of a kind, never had a bad word to say about anyone, was thoughtful, generous and very unselfish. I’m sure many posts are going to describe her this way, because she was just a truly wonderful caring person. I am going to miss her terribly, but will have comfort in remembering my wonderful memories. I know that she is resting in peace with her parents, MaryEllen, family and friends in heaven now.
