Dear Nana,
This letter is to you, as I know you are reading this from the heaven that dad talked about in his speech for you. I want to thank you for the values you have instilled in me, the memories that I will long remember, and the family you have given me to love. When I think of you, I think about patience. I always felt calm and at peace when I was around you. I never felt anxiety or worry. I always just felt at home. I will always remember the giant tub of popcorn you had bought me during a time where I was hospitalized for about three weeks. You always knew that the way to making me feel better was from something sweet. Popcorn has got to be one of my top favorite foods. And lastly, I thank you for raising such a wonderful son that I get to call my dad. Without you, there would be no him, there would be no me, there would be no Dana, Jacklyn, Kyle, or Derek. These are all my best friends (along with my own mom, of course). I hope I will be a wonderful Mom and a wonderful Nana just like you in my future. Thank you, Nana, for all you have given and the legacy you leave for us to live up to. I know I will make you proud, so you do not have to worry. Rest in peace Nana. Please know you were loved so much by so many people.

I remember every Easter Sunday my family and I would all get together at our Nana’s House to go on our annual Easter egg hunt. It was great to have a place to see our extended families all get together and share such core memories with. Our Nana would always make sure we had all the fun in the world during times like these and there isn’t an Easter that goes by that I don’t smile just thinking about it.

Nana was a beautiful, and loving grandmother that will be missed. One of my favorite memories about my nana is when I was younger. We would have sleepovers at nanas house, and during the day we would walk over to the local super market to buy scratch-offs. She would also pair the scratch-offs with some colorful / delicious button candy! It was a simple and fun little memory I will always keep with me, and pass on to my kids / grandkids!

Nana will be so very missed. I remember as young kid, I would look forward to going to Nana & Opa’s on Sundays for spaghetti and meatballs with a side of those carrots. She made the best carrots! And then for dessert, of course the star cookie cake! ⭐️ Not only was that cookie cake a work of art, but it was also delicious. Rest easy, Nana❤️

Where do I begin...The first time I met Margaret she was in her backyard tanning. I remember her wearing a bikini top and rolled up shorts as she sipped her iced tea from a cup. She was quite a beauty! This image of her will forever be in my memory. Thank you, Mom, (as I fondly called her) for raising such a wonderful son that I now call my husband. Thank you for accepting me into your family and for all your love and support. I will miss you and continue to miss you because you were such a big part of my life. God blessed me with such a wonderful mother-in-law like you. I love you forever Mom.
