Grandma,
I have so many great memories growing up visiting you and Grandpa in New York, and I was always so excited when you came to visit us in Texas. I just think about all the great memories we shared as a family. I always remember my face hurting from laughing so much. In particular, I remember you being in Montauk when Jen and I got engaged, and when you were about to meet Caitlyn your Great Granddaughter. I remember you telling me you wanted he to call you Nanna and she still does, and that is what you will always be to her.
I know you are back together with your soulmate, Grandpa, in heaven and you both can now rest in peace. We love you so much and will always have the great memories.

Mary - You were such an indomitable mother, and grandmother. So fiercely loyal to the people you loved. It took a while for me to enter your inner circle, but once I did, I definitely KNEW IT!
We had a lot of special times and many laughs over the years, and a ton of great family get togethers. I have always been thankful that Al and I could give that to you and Grandpa Al....a place for all the Careys to gather and tell their stories...and tell them again...and again...and again!
And what an amazing Grandmother you always were to the Grandkids. You always had a little joke and some mischief to share with them...and they loved you for that.
Although you will be greatly missed, I know you are safe and warm with Al today, and finally at peace.
Love you. Vickie Carey

To all the Careys, So sorry on the loss of your mom. Aunt Mary was a wonderful person, both kind and so funny. My mother was especially close to all her cousins; they were like her sisters and brothers. Because many lived on Long Island, we had the good fortune of seeing them frequently while growing up. Whether at 1 of the reunions or at a "cousins lunch", 2 things were certain, their love for each other and their Irish Heritage. Irish music was always played, listened to, danced to and sung!
Please take comfort in knowing that your mom is with your dad and all the cousins, aunts, uncles, mothers, fathers and the rest, all enjoying a good Irish song and a story or 2...

My Mom was close to her cousins. Many get togethers in each others backyards when we were kids growing up. There was always alot of laughter. Aunt Mary had a wonderful sense of humor.....I don't think she realized how funny she was. I'm sure there is quite a reunion in heaven and lots of dancing and laughter.

My mom and Aunt Mary were blessed to have been able to visit each other in North Carolina back in 2020. They hadn't seen each other in years. What a memory.

My childhood was filled with memories of Aunt Mary and Uncle AL, Aunt Patsy and Uncle Tom, Aunt Sally and Uncle Willie to name a few. The Burns girls, Carey kids, the Crotty boys and the Breslawski kids were all so fortunate to have grown up together. We were always visiting each other's homes and the grandparents in the Bronx or wherever they lived. There was always laughter and irish music and so much love between those first cousins. Aunt Mary was always just so funny, I remember her personality most. May you rest in peace Aunt Mary as you join so many that have been waiting for you. Heaven just got alot more fun.

Eileen and family,
Sending hugs and prayers to you during this time. Losing a Mom isn't easy, just remember all the good times that you had with her. She will always be with you. Praying that God gives you all the strength to endure.
Remember that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Many Blessings,
Teresa Whitney-Taylor & family

My mom taught all of us about having a positive attitude, treating others with kindness and the importance of family.
The older we all get, the more we see the wisdom in what she taught us.
We could not have had a better mother..
She lived a long and wonderful life and we were lucky to have her for all this time.
Now she’s in a wonderful place with our Dad.
God Bless you Mom.
