Obituary of Pat and Eleanor Rosa
A true love story has come to an end. Pat and Eleanor Rosa passed away peacefully surrounded by
family. They met as teenagers and after graduating Woodrow Wilson High School, married on February
5, 1956. They recently celebrated 67 years of marriage. They are survived by their four loving daughters
Josephine Bruck, Annemarie Rosa, Patricia Clancey-Murray and Michele Castle. They were overjoyed
and celebrated with their 6 grandsons, Jonathan Vaillancourt, David Bruck, William Clancey, Joseph
Vaillancourt, Keith Karlsen, Ian Bruck and their precious granddaughter Christie Clancey. They were
blessed with 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. They will be missed by their dog
Numa, and cat Mickey.
Eleanor Rosa passed away on May 11 th at her home in North Massapequa surrounded by her four
daughters. Born Eleanor Rachel Murrary on February 12, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, Eleanor was a
devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a “die hard” Mets fan, Girl
Scout Leader and Country Western Dancer. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and
traveling. She was predeceased by her sisters, brother and nephew.
Patsy Rosa passed away on May 13 th peacefully. Patsy was born on May 1, 1934 in Queens, New York. He
was everyone’s “go to” person for help. After retiring from East Meadow high School as Head Custodian,
Patsy enjoyed crabbing, traveling and visiting with his family. He is predeceased by his parents, sisters,
beloved cousins and his beloved dog Elvis.
They were devoted to each other until the end. Services will be at William Law Funeral Home in
Massapequa on Saturday, May 20 th from 2-6PM. A celebration of life at the family's home will immediately follow the religious service at the funeral home.
