My Dearest Uncle Buddy, you will be so terribly missed. You have always shown great love to everyone ~ you never knew a stranger. I remember how fun you were, always laughing, always telling us funny stories and jokes, and always singing... " Goin' to Kansas City, Kansas City, here I come! " When I was only 6 or 7 you talked me into eating creamed herring with onions on a bagel, and you promised me I would like it, and you were right. It was delicious! We would all get together at Anita's house for our huge Christmas-Hanukkah celebrations which were epic and so much fun with the Geibert / Rosch / Kleiner / Ferran clan. So much love & laughter. So many stories. You were always so happy to see us and you always told us you loved us and were proud of us. I am so thankful to have had you & Aunt Elsie in my life, and I am thankful you are both finally together again in Heaven. Rest in peace, dear Uncle Buddy. You are all in my prayers, my dear cousins. God bless you all.
Love, Maria Elena

Some of my fondest early memories are of Uncle Buddy (when he used to visit us In Massachusetts); and then later, when I would visit NY in the late seventies and early eighties.
Buddy would delight little kids by magically pulling coins out of our ears. He was our Pied Piper- always happy, with a mischievous glint about him!
As well, I will always remember his love of music and singing and our shared love of Linda Ronstadt’s album (with Nelson Riddle).
The best weekend breakfasts EVER started with Uncle Buddy taking me with him to the market deli and picking up perfectly smoked whitefish and fresh delicious onion bialys to accompany the bacon and eggs cooked to perfection by Aunt Elsie. Then, at some point after the meal, he would cajole Aunt Elsie to sing Besame Mucho.. their love for each other was genuine and enduring. I miss them both dearly.
