Obituary of Angelo Andriani

Please share a memory of Angelo to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Angelo Paul Andriani, known to all as Andy, passed away Monday afternoon, March 20, 2023.  Andy was born on December 27, 1933, in New York and spent his entire life as a New Yorker, first in New York City and then in the home he built in Massapequa, LI.

Andy was married for over 60 years to Angelina, known to all as Angie.  Andy and Angie were both children of Italian families that were lifelong friends, and they were therefore introduced to each other as children.  After reconnecting after school, they married and spent the rest of their life together.

Unable to have children, they adopted a boy Anthony and a girl Gina.  Gina’s son Andrew was also raised by Andy and Angie and Andrew helped both in their later years living nearby the family house.

Andy spent over 30 years in the Navy and Navy reserves.  Eventually Andy started his own Auto Repair Business, “Andy’s Pit Stop” where he was very successful until selling the business in 1980.

Andy and Angie spent the next 40 years doing what they liked best:  being with each other.  Angie passed away in 2022, and now Andy will join her again in heaven.
