Obituary of John Joseph Broschart

John Joseph Broschart (81) of Hicksville, Long Island died on January 2, 2023. ‍John, fondly known as Jack, was born to John and Evelyn Broschart on April 30, 1941. He was a retired police officer and entrepreneur. He was the proud owner of the Harmony Bar and Grill, a business he owned for more than 40 years before retiring.

Jack is survived by his three children John, Donna, Barbie Ann, and stepchildren, Jeanie and Christopher. He is also survived by his brother Michael and many grandchildren.

Jack donated to charities regularly like St. Jude’s and Memorial Sloan Kettering and was an active participant in his church. He was a man of deep faith. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, including going out to dinner, spending time with his two dogs, attending to his plants, sitting in the sun on his stoop or yard, drinking a cocktail, buying his grandchildren gifts, and telling an old story.

Jacks’ family will host a funeral service on Friday, January 6,  2023 at 10am at Holy Family Church.
