Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
William Arthur Willshaw Jr. was born July 28, 1970 in Morristown, NJ and passed away after an 8 week battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 3rd at 9:30 pm with his loving and devoted wife Angela by his side. As a young boy he was considered the “mayor” of Sand Spring Rd. He graduated Morristown High School in 1988. He was a member of the Mendham Volunteer Fire Department for a bit and he worked for a company that built cell towers up and down the East Coast. After his father passed away Bill decided to join the Navy and trained in Tennessee and eventually ended up in San Diego, California. When he came back to the East coast he became a masonry and was one of the best at his craft. He lived for the summers at the Jersey Shore with his friends. Bill enjoyed 4-wheeling and also hunting. He eventually ended up in Pennsylvania where he met his wife. He ended up back in NJ where he was diagnosed with MS. Bill was a smart and witty man with a wicked smile and contagious laugh who could probably out eat most people. In fact, to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation and National Donor Registry Bill would be part of a hot dog eating contest for several years, not to mention could sit through a package of cookies or half gallon of ice cream in one sitting or even a pound of bacon and still look for more. He was a tough guy with a big heart. Although he seemed quiet he took everything in and could come out with a quick joke that made you laugh with tears of joy. He was a loyal friend. Bill loved and adored being an Uncle and loved his family. He only got married at 50 years old when he found true love. Bill was predeceased by his father William Sr and sister Suzanne. He leaves behind his loving mother Doris, wife Angela, brother Michael and sister in law Jennifer along with his nieces Hannah, Kate, and nephew Jake. He also leaves behind his in-laws Deacon Gerry and Gracemarie Whitfield. His brother in laws Thomas and wife Debbie Thomas, Justin and Marissa and Brother in law Vincent and wife Kat and Joseph and Brother in law Anthony and Becky Whitfield. He loved his extended Harris family as well. He also leaves behind many friends. In lieu of flowers donation would be appreciated to: Maria Regina Innkeepers or Good Shepherd Hospice
