Obituary of William J. Dooley, Sr.

William J. Dooley, Sr., 99, passed away on October 21,2020. He was a private pilot and worked for Sperry Gyroscope Company for over 35 years culminating as Marketing Manager responsible for cockpit instrumentation to the major Airlines. His wife of 56 years, Marie A. Dooley and son Christopher P. Dooley, are previously deceased. Mr. Dooley is survived by his children William, Jr. & Mary Jane Dooley, Patricia Dooley and Alice & Thomas Moran; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and wife, Dolores Smith. There will be no visitation or wake. A Funeral Mass will be held at Maria Regina RC Church, Seaford, NY on Friday, October 23 rd at 10:15am; graveside services immediately following at St. Charles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation in his memory be made to the Visiting Nurse Services Hospice of Suffolk, East Northport, NY.
