I know Kevin since I started working at DDS. I will always remember him with a smile and a willingness to assist you with any dilemma you were in. Kevin always went out of his way to help you. He was there for everyone. He will be missed by all. May he Rest In Peace in God's arms. May your family find strength, peace & loving memories in the years ahead to comfort you.

Kevino. You will be missed. Your laughter and spirit were delightful. I use to work with you and every night I would call your work phone and tell you stuff that I needed to do first thing in the morning. You would hand me the list with such a smile. Every birthday, you would buy me scratch tickets and I always won! Have a magical time in Heaven! Love Susan xoxo

My cousin Kevin was, without a doubt, one of the kindest people I have ever known. Any time I spent with Kevin was enjoyable. His dad and my mom were brother and sister and very close. Growing up our families spent much time together during holidays and other family events. I have very fond memories of those times. Kevin was always easy going, warm, funny and an excellent dancer! He was also completely devoted to his family. After I was married, my husband Tom always enjoyed seeing Kevin, as both being avid Mets fans, they had much to discuss. Kevin, you were dearly loved and you will be dearly missed. Our deepest sympathies to Betsy and Eileen and all the family. With much love, Ann & Tom McLane and family

Betsy and Eileen, the world is now a sadder place.I am so sorry that Kevin has left us so soon.
Enthusiastic for all things Irish, Kevin enjoyed visiting his Clare born, Irish Aunt Teresa (my mother) and us cousins in Long Beach on Irish Day every October. He would join us all in a cuppa however, the Irish bread studded with the dreaded raisins was politely bypassed with a chuckle.
On summer evenings, as very young cousins we would run and splash along the water’s edge delighting in getting our clothes wet as our oblivious Dads trailed behind us. If our Moms’ had been there, with concern for wet clothes, they would have probably reined us in a bit more.
Like The Little Rascals, we would spend hours playing and wandering up and down my Cedarhurst block. We always found something to do. Of course, the moms in each house kept an eye on what we were all getting up to. Wearing ourselves out with all the exciting games and exploring, we would take a lunch break and Betsy, Kevin and I would head into the house for a feast tuna fish sandwiches followed up with Good Humor popsicles.
Later on, Kevin was a terrific big brother to Eileen and shared his love of baseball and Disney World with her. His shoulder was always there to lean on when needed.
Back in May of 2016 we were all happy to see Kevin’s smiling face when he journeyed to the wilds of Connecticut to join with his cousins to help us celebrate his Aunt Teresa’s 90th birthday. She truly enjoyed the day and he helped make it a success.
Kevin’s kindness and ready laugh are missed. He left us too soon.

I am so deeply saddened by the passing of Kevin. I supervised Kevin for 14 years in Office Services at The Department of Social Services. He was the most dependable, conscientious and kindest employee. He had an extraordinary awareness of Office Services’ responsibilities, understanding priorities and successfully carrying out the many demands on OS. And always with a smile. He was my extra pair of eyes. If Sharon, the other OS supervisor and I were having a “crazy” day and something might be overlooked, my extra set of eyes, Kevin, was there to remind us and in the kindest way. He was so much fun at parties, always willing to dance. He was loved and respected by all DSS employees. He will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. My thoughts and prayers to Betsy, Eileen and all of the family.
Sincerely, Denise Walsh

I had the pleasure of working with Kevin at D.S.S. and it indeed was a treat! Whether is was a pleasant smile or wave or quick chit chat as he tended to his duties, it always ended with "take care".
When my family planned our trip to Disney, Kevin gave me all his tips and pointers and when I returned to work we excitingly swapped stories and shared our plans to return in the future.
My favorite memory of Kevin was when I was transferred to an office at Winthrop University hospital and Kevin was filling in(something he always does in a heartbeat) for the person who usually delivered to my office. At this time I was very pregnant and running late. Kevin waited for me downstairs of the office and helped me with all my stuff and offered to get me some breakfast from downstairs because of all the rushing I didn't look too good and he was worried. He stayed a bit to make sure I was okay because I worked alone at that location and then later called me just to make sure I was okay. This is the Kevin that I will always remember and that will remain in my heart.
Sending prayers of comfort and strength to the family, friends and colleagues of Kevin. May your beautiful memories bring you comfort.
He will be truly missed!

I knew Kevin from work. What a pleasant easy person he was. I was just devestated to hear of his passing. He was one of the nicest kindest people I knew. Always a cheery hello and how can I help you! He will be missed. This is one of those times when life can be so unfair.
Rest in peace Kevin, know that you were valuable, and impacted others in a most positive loving way.

My mother Mary and Kevin's father Paddy were brother and sister along with their sister Theresa, they made up the family we knew as parent aunts and uncles. Kevin was Aunt Betty and Uncle Paddy's firstborn and my little cousin. He was an energetic and handsome little boy. He was always quick to smile and lent a good feeling to any gathering. He was a terrific dancer as was Uncle Paddy and I twirled around the floor with both of them at family weddings and gatherings at the Irish Center in Mineola.
The picture I have sent was taken in 1953 in my backyard in Oceanside with my father Tom Glynn. I was 9 and Kevin about a year old.
Over the years Kevin took over where Paddy left off (after another untimely family death) by entertaining us with the playing of the spoons and then keeping beat with the Bodhran during family gatherings with John Fitzpatrick on the accordion.
Tony and I send all our love and deep sympathy to Betsy and Eileen and all the family. We join you in our sadness and shock at his sudden death. Farewell dear Kevin and you will remain alive in our memories always. Love, Kathy & Tony Zullo
