Obituary of William C. Behan

William C. Behan passed away on April 8th, 2020. He was born on February 10th, 1942 to the late James + Agnes Behan in Brooklyn, NY. He was a beloved father to four children. Bill was predeceased by his eldest, Janice Ann Giovi by eight years. He is survived by three children and their spouses: Lynn + Vincent Fossari, Elizabeth + Thomas D’Angelo and James Behan. He was a loving Grandpa to seven grandchildren: TJ, Matthew, Kristin, Michael, Nicholas, Ryan and Chloe. He will be greatly missed by his twin brother James, sister-in-law Rita among many nieces + nephews. Billy was a proud Local 3 electrician and shop-steward for 40 years. The union pride began with his mother and carried on through him, his brother, his son, his son-in-law, two grandchildren and nephew. He often was caught talking about watches, cars or restaurants, all of which were his passion. He had a gift for storytelling, always making his family smile and laugh while sharing memories from his journey through life. The Behan family will have a private burial service for the immediate family. A memorial service will be held at a later date when we are all permitted to come together again and celebrate his life.
