Obituary of Michael Joseph Goff

Michael Joseph Goff, 73, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born on February 11, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York to Maurice and Theresa Goff. Mike was a Vietnam veteran and retired from the New York Police Department as a Sergeant after 28 years of honorable service. He had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor that could always cheer you up. He infused his humor into every day and all situations, and always found himself to be the funniest man in the room. He was the kindest and most helpful person that anyone could have known. He left no job unfinished and was meticulous in his completion of projects. He could often be found trimming the front lawn with scissors or carefully folding fitted bed sheets into perfect squares. He was a man of great religious faith and strong family values who will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him. Mike is survived byhis wife Joanne, his two daughters Maureen and Annie, son-in-law Jason and especially the pride, joy, and loves of his life, his granddaughters Grace and Charlotte; his brother James and two sisters Jane and Kathleen. A celebration of life service will be held when we are all permitted to come together again.
