This is Tom Sheehan up in Boston. I wanted to tell you all how much I regret not being able to be with you at this time of great loss, but more so, how much I regret not having had the opportunity to get to know John through the years. John came into the world at precisely the time I left New York for Boston, where now I am planted a bit more firmly than most because of my special-needs son. Life has a way of throwing curve balls at us. From the other comments, it sounds like John was a good man with a good heart, and someone whose great passions in life were much like mine. Talking for hours about music and films! My kind of guy, John, with this difference: You actually had a talent for music! I only hope that some of the tunes I left with your dad a few years back gave you some real pleasure, and I hope too that all of you can take comfort in thinking about John's goodness and joy.

You'd always give me that big laugh when I said you were my favorite brother. Who else will talk music with me for hours on end? That's when I got to be your sister instead of that person who was always telling you what to do. We never got to go to Ben Folds together as we always said we would, or to Rundgren. But because I know you're listening, I want to make sure you understand that I love you so much but I still hate Rush.--Col

John Bartholomew Sheehan always -came across to me as joyful--if not ebullient about LIFE.
My condolences to ALL in the family.

Jam on with that great band in the sky John!
Everyone at JJs was so saddened by your absence last night. We all sang in your honor at karaoke! I will miss our talks about music and Films and hanging out in the back! I’m sorry we didn’t have more time to be friends.
You are such a nice person with a good soul and I am very sad. Renee
