Jean was my dearest friend of more than 30 years. Her big heart, beautiful laugh and warm smile was infectious and is irreplaceable. We had so many great adventures over the years. Jean was a part of our family. She was always kind to my grandmother, parents, and children. My husband Jim and I loved having her over. I was honored when Jean would call me her little sister and she really was like a big sister to me. Jean was the smartest person I knew and at the same time, she was genuine and down to earth. She had such a fun sense of humor. She truly cared about the people she met and made them feel valued and appreciated. Jean also had a talent and passion for photography and her talent brought smiles to our faces. We always loved and will continue treasure Jean's photos and cards. When Victoria, my daughter, was in the Junior Catholic Daughter's of America (JCDA) they did a special project. The JCDA group gave Jean gifts using the theme of The 12 Days of Christmas. It was funny, because at first Jean thought the girls were entrepreneurs starting a business of wrapping presents. While Jean surprised, she was also humble and appreciative. Not only did she hand write each member a thank you card, but Jean took photos of the gifts and made an beautiful informational book about The 12 Days of Christmas! We are blessed to have known Jean! I will keep her memory forever in my heart. Rest in peace Jean! We all love you and miss you! We all were praying for you and now we will pray to you.
Love and prayers,
Barbara, Jim, Victoria and Nicholas Buonagura

I can’t even believe that this day is here. I have shared so many laughs and lots of tears especially in this last year and a half of extra time. You helped raise me as mom’s helper and we were the only two girls fighting against the seven boys. We are cousins by blood but sisters at heart. I loved all our talks and sunrise porch time. I admire your strength and ability to forget you had cancer. Sorry I had to bring you back to reality. I did my best to help you spiritually obtain your spot in heaven! I absolutely know you saved so many souls and at the same time strengthened my faith. I know you are finally at peace but now my heart has an even bigger hole. Take care of my daughter and send my love to all- way to many to name. As I told you I am a little jealous you have gone to heaven because of all you get to meet but some day I will be able to join you! Love you so much and when you are ready you can give me that sign! Forever in my heart Jean Marie All my love , your cousin Angela
Ps Bill said he was happy to share me but he did it only for you!

Jeanmarie, at some point Deacon (Uncle) Gerry will probably say "If we truly believe that the bread and wine become the body and blood of Christ, then we must believe that this is not the end, but the beginning of eternal life with God for Jeanmarie."
As for those of us left behind, my family will try to put the pain in a box and lock it down. We will remember that people are made up of boxes, chambers of loss, and triumph of hurt, hope, and love. Most of all we will remember the way you lived your life and fought. You had a warriors blood in your veins, a code that we all admired and respected about you.
The Great American Warrior Chief of the Shawnee, Tecumseh, said this and I think it epitomizes how you lived your life.
"Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. See to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home."
May God grant you eternal rest and may perpetual light shine upon you.
All of our love,
Tom, Debbie, Thomas and Marissa

My prayers and sympathy are with the entire family, may God wrap his arms around all giving strength and peace to help get them through this difficult time. Whenever I visited, Jean would always stop by the Whitfield's to see me, we'd go out to lunch or just visit. She sent me beautiful photographs which she took that I'll always treasure, altar at Maria Regina Church during Christmas,
the Holy Family in front of the Roncallo's Christmas tree, daffodils in the spring, leaves in the fall are just a few. She will never be forgotten.

Your beautiful soul will be missed, your friendship, kindness, love for Marissa and Thomas will remain with them always. You took Marissa under your wing and taught her how to take beautiful pictures. She is a talented photographer because of you. Tom and I are so grateful and blessed to have had you in our life. Until we meet again! You will be missed! I love you!
