James Patrick O'Regan, Jr. of Massapequa passed away peacefully on January 1, 2020. He was the loving husband of Joan (Rodgers) Moore O'Regan. He had the opportunity to visit with his children and grandchildren over the holidays before he passed, creating memories his family will always cherish. He was born on March 15, 1932, in New York to the late Beatrice (Bricke) O’Regan Kopp and James Patrick O’Regan, Sr. James was preceded in death by his first wife Florence (Spiteri) O’Regan. He leaves his beloved children James C. O’Regan (Noreen), Susan Weisenseel (Michael), Lorraine O’Regan and Linda O. Loretz (Richard). He also leaves seven grandchildren: Kelly Weisenseel, Megan Ryan (Edward), Jeremy Loretz, Gregory Weisenseel (Alexandra), Daniel O’Regan, Patricia Troesch (Jason) and Brian Loretz (Karin) and one great-grandson, Cameron Loretz. He is survived by a brother, Raymond O’Regan (Paula) and was predeceased by a sister, Patricia (O’Regan) Hermida Rios. Survivors also include many loving nieces and nephews. James was an avid New York Giants’ fan nearly all his life. Additionally, he was a proud member of the Memorare Council of the Knights of Columbus. He always enjoyed socializing with friends and family and had a wonderful sense of humor. James was particularly fond of activities that he could share with his children and grandchildren. He experienced great joy when sharing meals and holidays with the whole family. He and his enthusiasm for life will be missed.
