Obituary of Deacon John R. Nuzzi, Sr.

Deacon John R. Nuzzi, Sr., of Seaford, NY, passed away early Saturday morning, October 26, 2019. He was 78 years old.

Deacon John, was predeceased by his loving wife Dottie, and his beloved daughter, Christine. He is survived by 4 children, John (Charlene), Matthew (Jennifer), Douglas (Lisa),  and Daniel (Kathleen). He is also survived by his brother Ralph. 

His world revolved around his family. He was a beloved grandfather to 6 wonderful grandchildren. Felicity, Daniel, and Kyle will be able to honor his memory at services.

Deacon John's professional career was with IBM but his dedication to Maria Regina Church led him to ministry in Holy Name, Pre-Cana, Baptism, and Youth Ministry. He worked in the administration of the parish and was the co-founder of Boy Scout Pack #691. He also volunteered in many aspects of Parish life. His devotion to his faith and Maria Regina led to his vocation as an ordained deacon where he served his parish at Weddings, Funerals, sick-calls, Baptisms, and Liturgy. He was blessed by his ministry, as was his family, and the Maria Regina Church community.

Services at Law Funeral Home, 1 Jerusalem Avenue, Massapequa, NY on Saturday, November 2, 2019, 2-4 and 7-9 PM, Sunday November 3, 2019, 2-4 PM. Sunday evening visitation at Maria Regina RC Church, 3945 Jerusalem Avenue, Seaford, NY 7-9 PM.
