LUCILLE RUGGIERO (nee Verasca)

Lucille Ruggiero of Massapequa, NY, formerly of Spotswood, NJ, passed away on September 12 after a brief battle with Lung Cancer.  She was predeceased by her husband, August, Sr. and is survived by her sons,  Mathew (Linda) of Lindenhurst, NY and  August (Bonnie) of Scotch Plains, NJ as well as by 5 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren: Sandra, David, Mathew (Corrin) Madeline (Nathan) White, Michael (Era), Michael (Octavia) Brand and Kathleen (Frank) Romano and 11 great-grandchildren.

Lucille was a proud employee of Holland America Cruise Line and  was the Payroll Supervisor for the Middlesex County Sherriff’s Department.  She leaves her family and friends with many fond memories. She loved painting with watercolors, cooking, traveling and taking classes.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 15 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Wm Law Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Maria Regina RC Church on Monday, September 16 at 9:45 AM.

Donations may be made in Lucille’s name to Life Center of Long Island or Hospice Care Network.
