I was so heartbroken to hear of Johnnys passing, he was always so kind to me growing up. He had a way of making everyone who met him feel important and that is a quality that will be sorely missed. I will always remember him as a honest tough but fair minded member of the family who could always be counted on for whatever was needed in the moment. My condolences to his immediate family, cousins , grand kids and friends Johnny was truly one of a kind.

Our condolences to all of John's family. He was a truly good guy to be with. Funny and entertaining with a quick wit. He was also a proud representative of his profession. John you WILL be missed.

This photo is of John with family and friends at a Kiwanis Golf Tournament. According to John, each round of golf he played was going to be his last. As you can see, John's smiling so this picture must have been taken before the round began!

This photo is of John in 1972 on a ski trip we took to Vermont. I found it was always better to ski behind John because you never knew in which direction he would come flying down the slope. It didn't matter whether it was a beginner or triple diamond, John seemed to be everywhere.

After hearing that Johnny was in the hospital, I prayed for a miracle, something I have never done. When he passed, I thought my prayers had gone unanswered until I realized that I already had my miracle in the life of Johnny. As children, we saw each other every Sunday at our Kilgus grandparents home. We grew apart in our 20s and saw each other infrequently for many years. When my Dad passed, we renewed our kinship and forged a true friendship. He was a very special person who I will deeply miss but I am grateful for the miracle of his life.
