I just baked some macarons, and thought about Gerard, but something told me that he had passed. I checked his Facebook wall, and I saw the heartbreaking news. He was such a kind, generous man who was devoted to his family, to culinary education, and to the betterment of the community. My heart just breaks for the Molloy family. Deepest condolences to you all.

So saddened to hear of Gerard's passing. Our parents were very good friends., I have so many memories of being at their house next to the Fire house. We also went to St. Luke's together. Over the years we would often run into each other at Lollipops when we both had our mother's with us. He would proudly tell me about his daughters and wife as we caught up. May he rest in peace.

Gerard- my friend, I am going to miss you terribly. I will always cherish our friendship and the memories made from little league, to music lessions, to the CYO Swim Team, to being a groomsmen in my wedding party. Our friendship span over 4 decades. Gerard,
You will be sorely missed old friend. Over 3.5 decades we have known each other. We may have not seen each other as much as we would have liked but you always greeted me with a huge hug and twinkle eyed smile that always cheered me up and I will never forget. It is hard to imagine you may not physically be with us when our core friends all get together but you will always be there in spirit and in our hearts.
