Obituary of Frances Beverly Bligh
Frances Beverly Bligh, age 95, passed away November 8th on Mercer Island, WA, where she resided the last two years. She was born in 1923 to the late Joseph and Marie Herbert.
Prior to her move, Bev lived in her family home in Seaford, NY since it was built in 1953. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry, her oldest son Paul and his wife Pat, and her five siblings. She is survived by her son Tom and his wife Elaine , her son Kevin and his wife Kathy, and her six grandchildren, Tommy, Brendan, Michael, Brian, Caitlin and Kevin, and her eight great grandchildren Taylor, Matthew, Brayden, Fiona, Emery, Isla, Sawyer and Josie.
Bev was strong willed, not letting her loss of sight years ago deter her independence. Before losing her sight she enjoyed crafting, particularly creating folk art stenciling and figures. She loved family events, and the more who could make it the merrier. She was an avid shopper, and enjoyed finding just the right gift for a person, and particularly loved the Christmas season and everything about it. A lover of the early American time period, one of her favorite places to go was Colonial Williamsburg with family.
