Huhn, John Joseph – of North Massapequa, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2018 in his 88th year, surrounded by his family.

 

Born in Brooklyn in 1930, to Frank and Anna (nee Flynn), John loved his country – and dedicated his life in service.  He was a Veteran of the US Army and US Navy during the Korean War, and a member of the NYPD for 36 years.

 

He was the loving husband of Eileen (nee Conlon) for 63 years and the cherished father of John Jr. and Frank, their wives, Cathy and Rebecca, and the devoted grandfather of Daryl, Ryan and Travis and great-grandfather of Ryan’s daughter, Ellie. 

 

John ‘Mitts’ – ‘Molloy’ Huhn was adored, and will be forever missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 24th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at:  William E. Law Funeral Home, 1 Jerusalem Avenue, Massapequa, Long Island, New York 11758

 

Mass of Christian Burial:  Monday, June 25th - 9:45am at Maria Regina RC Church, 3945 Jerusalem Avenue, Seaford, Long Island, New York 11783

 

Interment will be held at Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn Road, Pinelawn, Long Island, New York
