Obituary of Elizabeth B. Forte

Elizabeth Jane (Borer) Forte joined her husband, Edward Forte, and her son, Thomas Forte, in eternal rest on December 31, 2024.  “Betty” was born on July 7, 1924 to Anne Cunningham Borer and Herman Joseph Borer, in New Rochelle, New York.   She married Edward on April 24, 1954 and they celebrated 62 years of marriage until his death at 103 years old in 2022. Betty is survived by her four daughters: Mary Hogan (Jack), Eileen Jacobs (RG), Jane Vetter (John), and Nancy Nyreen (Jim).  She was pre-deceased by her beloved son, Thomas, in 2020.

Elizabeth leaves 13 grandchildren: Erin Hogan Maffei, Patrick Hogan, Jane Hogan O’Brien,  Galen Jacobs, Meghan Jacobs Kusiak, Juliana Vetter Donellan, Mary Vetter, Laura Vetter Dumenko, Elizabeth Vetter Rotunno, Thomas Nyreen, Kerry Nyreen Inglese, James Nyreen and Brendan Nyreen.  Six great grandchildren had the privilege of calling her Gigi: Beckett Maffei, Loughlan Maffei, Henry Maffei, Rory Thomas Kusiak, Molly Inglese, and Edy O’Brien.

Elizabeth’s legacy is the loving example she taught to her children and grandchildren by her unwavering dedication and care shown to her precious son, Thomas.  Her strength and wisdom will be missed, but we are happy to know she is resting peacefully in the arms of our Loving Father.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and may Perpetual Light shine upon her.  May her soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed, rest in peace.
