Obituary for Lucy Pisano

March 14, 1931 - December 16, 2024

Lucy Pisano, beloved wife of Louis Pisano (deceased May 2016) passed away peacefully at Hospice Inn in Melville, NY following a short illness.  She was born in Brooklyn, New York and was the daughter of Steve and Wanda Woznuk. 

Survived by her daughters Patricia and Peggy, son-in-law Larry Force, grandsons Sean and Patrick (Caitlin) Force, and great grandchildren Emmie and Nash Force, nothing was more important to Lucy than her family and close friends.  She lived in the home she loved that she and Lou bought together in Massapequa for 70 years and was able to remain there until her death because of the love and care she received from her friend Simone and the support of her neighbors.  

Her kindness and care for others was known among her family and friends, many of whom were part of her life with Lou as a VFW member and their adventures as travelers.  Lucy loved a trip whether “upstate” to the homes of her children, or to Cape Cod, or “out East” with Cookie and Steve, on a cruise or a bus tour, to NYC or Bayville and in her later years to the beach to feed the seagulls.  And with Lou, she traveled throughout the United States in their trailers and motorhomes. Lucy and Lou were a “power couple” long before it was an “in” thing.  Married in June 1951, they loved each other, filled their home with love for everyone and did everything together.

Her family and friends mourn her passing at almost 94 years old but are blessed to have had her in their lives and are comforted that Lucy and Lou are together again.
