When you wait to see a butterfly that brought some comfort near
So much heartache is brought back again when no butterflies appear.
Waiting for a simple sign to tell me that you see
Memories will never be enough to fill this new emptiness inside of me.
I want to believe you're everywhere - in every chime and sound
I imagine you're at eternal peace, no longer earthly bound.
I long to catch a glimpse of you, but know that heaven's out of sight
So I wait to see your face again as I fall asleep each night.
You'll always be my greatest hero, wisest teacher, & best friend
And I'll always be your little girl - forever & ever til my end.
