When you wait to see a butterfly that brought some comfort near
So much heartache is brought back again when no butterflies appear.
Waiting for a simple sign to tell me that you see
Memories will never be enough to fill this new emptiness inside of me.
I want to believe you're everywhere - in every chime and sound
I imagine you're at eternal peace, no longer earthly bound.
I long to catch a glimpse of you, but know that heaven's out of sight
So I wait to see your face again as I fall asleep each night.
You'll always be my greatest hero, wisest teacher, & best friend
And I'll always be your little girl - forever & ever til my end.

Q: How did you meet Andrew?
A: Andy and I served aboard the USS Julius A Furer, DEG-6 in around 1969-70. Many a hot day was spent below decks in the fireroom with steam and oil. At Liberty Call on the weekend off, we would venture off outside of Naval Base Newport and utilized our thumbs to travel to NYC for Andy and Boston for me. We would split up near Mass Pike and finish our tiresome journeys. Liberty Call memories return at times like this. My deepest condolences to Mrs. Lacey and family. Andy was a great guy. Andy, Rest in Peace. USN Shipmate Don Cousins.

Andrew and I were friends for many years. We served in the navy together. We grew up together and I have many memories of the good times we had from our mid teen years. He will always be in my heart as one of my most cherished friends.
Rest in Peace my friend.
