Obituary of Alfred J. Lombardi

Alfred John Lombardi, 60, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 4th, 2024 due to complications from multiple sclerosis. He was surrounded by his loving family at home in Stony Brook, NY. 

Alfred was born on January 26, 1964 to Egidio (John) Lombardi and Elena Lombardi (née Lubrano) in Astoria, NY. He attended St. Francis Preparatory School in Queens, NY (class of 1982), Queens College, and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the New York Institute of Technology (class of 1987). 

Alfred was proud to work as an electrical engineer, later Senior Director of Engineering, at Leviton Manufacturing Co. for over 30 years. 

Alfred married Robin Lewis in 1990. The couple raised two sons, Alex (born 1994) and Nicholas (born 1996), largely in Syosset, NY.

Alfred was predeceased by his parents, John and Elena, and is survived by his sister Josephine Elliott, his brother James, his two sons, Alex and Nicholas, and his daughters-in-law, Jessica Xu and Ashley Romeo. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of optimism, and unwavering devotion to family, all of which he maintained throughout his life.
