John Joseph “Jack” Gally, 75 years old of Massapequa, NY, passed away on March 12, 2024. Visitation will be held at William E. Law Funeral Home on March 17, 2024 from 4:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Maria Regina R.C. Church, Seaford, NY on March 18, 2024, at 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
Jack was born in Rosedale, NY to Jack and Dorothy Gally on June 15, 1948. He
attended Far Rockaway High School. He was drafted into the Army and served his country honorably in Vietnam, participating in many battles, including the Tet offensive. He went on to work in the Air Freight industry, where he worked for many years. After retiring, he was a per diem for a real estate law firm.
Jack never met a person he did not like. He had a story to tell no matter what the
situation. He liked a good cigar. He enjoyed spending time on the water, whether it be on a boat, fishing or relaxing at the beach. A true family man, Jack loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and family. He was extremely proud of his grandkid’s accomplishments and always supportive of everything they did. He was a true N.Y. Giant and Yankee fan, believing every year they were going to win the Super Bowl or World Series.
Jack is survived by his wife Lena, his daughter Jenn, son John, son-in-law Nicholas, daughter-in-law Kara, grandchildren Johnny, Caroline, Andrew, Madelyn, Mark and Nicholas. He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Dorothy and his sister Susan. Jack will truly be missed but left a lasting effect on everyone he met.
