Obituary of Luise Cummings

Luise Cummings of Seaford, New York, for over 40 years, passed away on February 3, 2024 atthe Good Shepherd Hospice Facility in Port Jefferson, NY.

The funeral services will be held at William E. Law Funeral Parlor in Massapequa, NY on Tuesday February 6th between the hours of 3 pm to 7 pm. The burial will be held at Pine Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday February 7th at 1pm.

Luise Cummings was born in Munich, Germany on September 22, 1934 to Walter and Mathilde Wiesner. Her eldest son, Robert Cummings was born in Germany. In 1955, she moved to theUnited States when she was only 21. She had three more children, Gloria, Tina and Steven. Shewas a loving mother, raising her children and keeping an organized household. Once they wereself-sufficient, she worked full-time for several electronics firms, becoming a relied upon
supervisor and key employee at each firm.

Luise is survived by her husband, Gilbert Cummings, and 3 children, Robert Cummings, Gloria Streppone & Tina Fiore. Sadly, her 4th and youngest son, Steven Cummings, passed away in 2021. Additionally, she was Grandma to 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Robert & Terry Cummings have two children: Vicky & Jason, resulting in two great-grandchildren: Avery & Benjamin. Gloria & John Streppone have two sons: Jack & Gage Streppone. Tina & deceased husband Keith Fiore have two girls: Nicole & Alexa Fiore resulting in three great- grandchildren: Logan, Winter & Joziah. Deceased son Steven & Danielle Cummings have seven children: Steven Jr., Kayla, Kyle, Boe, Dylan, Hunter & Cheyenne, resulting in 5 more great- grandchildren:Addyson, Ya’nya, Malaya, Reese & Kaesyn.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society. Luise was a 13-year survivor of pancreatic cancer and breast cancer. However, pancreatic cancer did return and was the result of her passing.
