Maureen Morea Winnegar

2/17/1953 - 1/11/24

Maureen was a beloved mom, sister, friend, and coworker. However, her most cherished role was that of Nana to her beloved grandchildren. She was a graduate of St. John University, where she earned her masters in Theology. Her professional career included her favorite role as teacher and religious education Director at Maria Regina where she met her very best friends.  Her last position in banking suited her to a tee as she continued to work past retirement just because she loved her customers and her second set of best friends.   Sadly she was widowed and lost her soulmate John that she married in 2000.  They shared their love of family and faith for 14 years. Maureen‘s favorite hobby and passion was giving and caring for others. She took care of every person she met with endless kindness and generosity.  On a peaceful sunny summer day, you could always find her on her deck reading a favorite book by her backyard pool that she loved.   She is survived by many members of her loving family and countless friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or The Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch.
