Obituary of Alfred Nicholas Giarraputo
We are heartbroken to announce the death of the patriarch of our family Alfred “Freddie” Giarraputo. He passed away at the age of 92 surrounded by his family. Born in Brooklyn New York in 1931 to Stefano and Benvenuta Giarraputo. He was the youngest of eight. He had four brothers and three sisters He attended Bushwick high school and a trade school thereafter. He worked as a dispatcher for Rheingold brewery for 23 years and a merchandising rep for Miller beer for five years. After that he finished his career as a sales rep for Prudential life insurance. His passions in life were painting, drawing, opera, and poetry, where he was proud to have had been published. He enjoyed golf, bowling, casinos, and horse races. He considered his friends to be his family. His friendships span up to 80 years. He was the life of the party and voice of reason. Everyone loved talking with him and learning from him. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years. Marie venezia Giarraputo and his three children, Stephan Giarraputo, Victoria, Winn Giarraputo, Bettyanne Giarraputo Cuttillo, Joseph, Cutillo, and Matthew Giarraputo and Ana Giarraputo, and eight grandchildren Anthony Cerullo, Nicolas Giarraputo , Sally Giarraputo , Brittany Giarraputo, Michael Giarraputo, Stephanie Cerullo, Christopher Giarraputo , Gina, Cutillo, and Marissa Cutillo, and step grandson Jesus Vasquez Villegas.
