Aura E. Montilla devoted Wife of 56 years, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great grandmother passed away peacefully on October 23rd, 2023 at the age of 90 surrounded by her loving family. Aura leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and deep faith. She was born in Ciales, Puerto Rico. She was the youngest daughter of nine children. She moved to New York at the age of 17, where she lived, worked and married Alejandro Montilla. Aura had  four children and was preceded in death by her husband Alejandro and her son Ricardo. She is survived by three children: Belisa, Elvira and Alejandro II; seven grandchildren: Jessica, Rachael, Daniel, Rebecca, Andrew, Elena and Paul; and, five great grandchildren: Jude, Benjamin, Sophia, Charlie, and Aurelia; and her daughter-in-law Tracey; all whom she loved deeply. 

There will be a viewing on Thursday October 26th, 2023 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at William E. Law Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial Rite will be held at Maria Regina Catholic Church on Friday October 27th, 2023 at 9:45 AM followed directly by her burial at Long Island National Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
