My grandpa was one of the nicest people that I know. He was a loving and devoted husband for 65 years, father of 2, grandfather of 5 and great-grandfather of 1. I always had nothing but good memories of him whether it was having snail races in his backyard with my sister when we were young, listening to his stories of him serving in the Marine Corp, no matter how many times I heard them, or just stopping by to see how he was doing every week. When I told him I wanted to be a nurse and was admitted into nursing school he was one of the first people to congratulate me and support me in my decision. I learned in nursing school that some day you will have to hold a person’s hand when they are dying but never did I think that my first time experiencing this would be with you grandpa. I will always cherish the memories that I have of him. I love you grandpa and you will always be in my heart.
