In Loving Memory of Charlotte M Cotroneo (Garchar) 82 of Merrick, NY who passed

away on April 25 th , 2026, a small service was held at Cure of Ars Church in Merrick with

the burial at St Charles Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY

Charlotte was born in Youngstown, Ohio to John and Mary Garchar. After her high

school graduation, she moved to New York City to pursue a career in modeling and

singing in which her talent of Art became more prominent in the years to follow. In the

1970’s she showcased her oil paintings at the Queens Botanical Gardens.

She enjoyed working with the public; she worked 26 years in Healthcare Administration

and later in fashion sales and merchandising. She always took pride in her appearance

and helping others. Her motivation was her style, and her daily routine that she carried

with her throughout life.

She loved the beaches, picking seashells, dinners out and trips to Montauk, going for

walks in her neighborhood and sitting with her dogs in the backyard. She enjoyed

spending time with her granddaughter, taking her to activities and watching her figure

skate. She was a strong-minded beautiful person, Mom and Grandmother (Gaga) that

will be missed forever and always. Her love will live forever in our hearts and continue

to inspire and comfort us.

She is survived by her daughter Jill Cotroneo and granddaughter Ashley, both of

Merrick, Long Island and her brother Jack Garchar of Austintown, Ohio, nephew Wyatt

Winfield of Pittsburgh, PA
