Obituary of Catherine DiMaio

Catherine “Kay” DiMaio, 96, Seaford NY, passed away on 12/13/25 in
Good Shepherd Hospice at Mercy Hospital. Catherine grew up in
Queens and lost her parents at a young age. Together she and her
siblings grew up relying on each other and raising themselves. She met
her husband Alex on a blind date. Together they had 2 daughters, Adele
and Annette. Catherine was a loving and devoted mother. Catherine
worked for Citi Bank for 25 years. After retirement, Catherine always
found time to help her friends and neighbors, whether it was taking them
shopping, to their doctors appointments, or acting as a caregiver. She
loved to cook for her family and loved doting on her grandchildren. She
was a loving and involved grandmother. She also had a love for animals
and gave many stray cats a home. She will be remembered as full of life,
funny, and kind-hearted. Catherine is survived by her children, Adele
(Louis) and Annette (Frank), grandchildren Alexandra (Matt) and
Juliana and her great grandson, Matthew. She is preceded in death by
her husband, Alexander.
