Obituary of Raymond Kempton

Please share a memory of Raymond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Raymond F. Kempton , a.k.a. “Digger”, 82, of Deer Park, New York, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

A devoted father of four daughters, Ray was well known throughout the Deer Park community. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding his bike around town, spending time on the water, and keeping busy with projects. A natural problem-solver, he had a talent for fixing just about anything.

He cherished time with family, especially Sunday bagels, and found joy in life’s simple pleasures — good food, good company, and staying active. He enjoyed pickleball, golf, riding his bike and time spent with friends.

He is survived by his four daughters, Margot Bifulco, Rachel Kotliar, Melissa Kempton and Breanne Engelhardt, along with his grandchildren and many family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

Visitation will be held at William E. Law Inc Funeral Home on Friday, December 5th, followed by a funeral service on Saturday, December 6th at 10 am. Interment will take place at Washington Memorial Park.
