Obituary of Virginia A. Hayden

Please share a memory of Virginia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Virginia Hayden, of Massapequa, passed suddenly on November 3, 2025. She is now in the loving arms of her late husband, William and son Brian. She was survived by her children Mary Coons (Kevin), Colleen Bossert (George), and Gregory Hayden (Michelle). She was the cherished grandmother of Matthew (Ashley), Christopher, Patrick (Annie), Laura (Joe), Caitlin (Marck), Christine, Shelby, and Kyle. She was the adored great grandmother of Hailey, Kieran, and Joey. She was the loving sister of George Feeney (Dolores).

Ginny loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends. During her 56 year marriage with her husband Bill, they travelled extensively around the United States, Europe, Africa, and the Holy Land. Ginny was an active member of Maria Regina for over 60 years. While her children attended the grammar school, there is not a role she did not take on whether it was pretzel lady or serving on the  school board. Up until her last moments, she was an active member of  the Rosary Society and Padre Pio prayer group. She will always be remembered for her sharp sense of humor, altruistic nature, unwavering faith, outgoing personality, and her strong commitment to family and friends. She will be sorely missed.
