Obituary of Brian Patrick Hayden

Brian P. Hayden, age 56, of Centereach, New York, passed away on July 24,
2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born and raised in Massapequa, Brian was the beloved son of Virginia Hayden
and the late William Hayden. He was a devoted brother to Mary Coons
(Kevin), Colleen Bossert (George), and Gregory Hayden (Michelle). He was the
proud and loving Uncle B to Matthew (Ashley), Christopher, Patrick (Annie),
Laura (Joeseph), Caitlin (Marck), Christine, Shelby, and Kyle. Most recently he
became the great uncle to Hailey, Kieran, and Joey.

Brian lived a meaningful and active life, surrounded by friends and family,
who felt the impact of his loyalty, generosity, and sharp sense of humor. His
devotion to the people in his life was unmatched, and his presence lit up every
room he entered. He was a true sports enthusiast from his early days of
playing roller and ice hockey, to rooting for his favorite teams, the Islanders,
Yankees and Jets.

He lived by the motto, “work hard, play hard” instilled in him by his parents.
For the past 20 years he was an employee of Merrick Bank in Woodbury
where he was recently promoted to Vice President. Brian took much pride
being employed there, where his company shared his “family first values”. He
shined in his leadership roles where he served as a mentor to many. He
cherished the relationships he made there and always spoke highly of his
colleagues.

Brian was a true warrior and will always be remembered for his unparalleled
kindness, extraordinary generosity, and his deep love for his family and
friends.
