MARGARET A. DIGIACOMO (MCGRATH)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret A. DiGiacomo

(formerly McGrath) who died peacefully on June 29, 2025 at the age of 96 in La Grange, NY.

She was born on April 17, 1929 in Manhattan, NY to her parents John McGrath and

Margaret Cunningham.

Margaret was a devoted mother to her children, Jeannie, Joanne, Peggy and John. She always put

her family first before her own needs. Her family was her greatest joy and she cherished every

moment spent with them. She also had a love for traveling and thanks to Aunt Ana (her sister-in law)

for their many travels together to different destinations. She was known for her infectious laugh,

intelligence, her love of reading and research, and her delicious meals she often made for annual

Thanksgivings and Christmases with the family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her

including her family, friends, former co-workers, friendly neighbors who she had spent many happy

memories with through the years at her one and only home she loved in Massapequa, NY.

Margaret is predeceased by her loving husband John, her daughter Joanne, her son John, her granddaughter

Peggy Jean (PJ) and her brothers Jay, Edward and Michael. She is survived by her daughters

Peggy and Jeannie, her grandchildren Ian and Adam, Robert and John and her great grandchildren

Nicoli, Tobias and Layne.

A Visitation will be held at  William E. Law Funeral Home 1 Jerusalem Avenue Massapequa, NY 11758 on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 4-8pm.  A funeral mass will be held at Maria Regina RC Church 3945 Jerusalem Avenue Seaford, NY 11783 on Wednesday July 9th, 2025 at 9:45am.  Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Rheumathoid Arthritis Foundation or American Cancer Foundation.
