Obituary of Arthur Kuhn

KUHN, Arthur (Art),  86, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Seaford, NY,

passed away peacefully on March 30 in his beachside condo,

which was his wish.

Art was born on June 23, 1931 in St. Albans, NY.  Upon graduating

from Brooklyn Prep and attending Villanova University and Hofstra University, Art enlisted in the US Air Force. While raising his

family in Seaford, NY, Art started his career at the Atlantic and Pacific

Tea Company in the Human Resource area. He then moved to the

Witco Chemical Company where he was Vice President – Labor

Relations and spent over 25 years travelling, the United States

negotiating with labor unions. Up until suffering a Stroke seven years

ago, Art enjoyed travelling, golf and visits with friends and family.

The past few years have been very difficult for him, but he made the

best of his limitations.

Along with Mary Hawkins, his companion of 25 years, Art is survived

by his daughter Kathryn Orrill and husband Neil, son Arthur Kuhn

and  wife Donna and daughter Susan Bailey and husband William.

Art also leaves behind grandchildren Nicole Kuhn, TJ Kuhn and wife Jenny, Christopher Bailey, Kaitlyn Bailey and Olivia Orrill.  In addition,

Mary’s children, Karen LeRosen, Michael Riggs and wife Diana.

Art joins his beloved wife Kathryn, sons Richard, brother John and grandson Ryan Bailey who predeceased him.

We cannot thank enough Art’s caregiver and friend Carlos Ford, who

cared so much for our father and was there for him every day.

Friends may call at William E. Law Funeral Home, 1 Jerusalem Avenue, Massapequa, NY on Thursday April 5 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 6 at Maria Regina RC Church, 3945 Jerusalem Avenue, Seaford, NY at 10:45am

Interment Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Art’s name to the  American Heart Association.
